Dr. Love is coming to town

Seppi Scholler aka Dr. Love is Pristo`s teammate at Love Distribution and a good friend. He is coming to Slovenia for couple of days to hit the mountains with us. His unique character with always creative approach to spots guarantees some fun in upcoming days. We gonna try to make the best of the recent snow so stay tuned...

Soelden Freeride Report

We were struggling for two months, the ones we usually do most of the stuff at home, so it was really nice to get a freeride shoot with Qparks in Soelden.
Soelden is the annual first stop of FIS ski giant slalom which takes place in Octobre, so you know there will be lots of snow anytime in real winter. The area connects three 3000m+ peaks called The Big 3 and they offer a vast and featured backcountry area. Gullies, bumps, slabs, lines, you name it...basicly its a freeride paradise!
The crew Bine, Matevž and Mitja stayed three days in Gasthaus Martha which is just below the road to another glacier and offers nice views from the terase, so timelapse shooting was never that easy.
First day we had a big cloud sitting on the mountain, so it was more of a scouting mission, but we managed to get a look at some promising gullies. Rudi Wyhlidal was our guide and photog and he did a great job. He knows the mountain inside out so he made it really easy for us to get some shots straight away the second day. It was fun exploring the big area out of bounds allthou there wasn`t enough snow to built some kickers. Instead we were doing fun runs, some pillows and then we headed to the top of the glacier. Its nice to get a view from 3250m if you shot the past season in the woods haha.
Bine had his eyes on this fence jib, but we ran out of time. Mitja had to film Freestyle Feast 2011 in Swatch Snowpark Soelden next day, but we couldn`t resist giving that fence a try. We got up early, hit the fence, got the shot and the day was wrapped before the session even started!

Sella kicker

Maček found some time between his contest runs and went to check the conditions on the other site of Kanin, Sella Nevea. We know some good spots there, so the whole Untouched crew went straight to Italy cause he got us all stoked. It was a sunny day and we got to build this big roller and got some shoots on the kicker and even Maček didn`t rest after his victory one day before and sneaked in some quick lines while others were still building.

Maček won Freeride Battle 2011!

Matevž Maček got first on Kanin`s Freeride Battle 2011 with a nice line and three cliff drops. The rest of the Untouched crew were still on the road from Soelden and it was the best homecoming news possible. Congrats! We are so proud to have you on our crew!

Tracking adventures

Wednesdays kicker really gave the whole crew a lot of motivation. We went back to scout for some more untouched places but heavy northern wind changed the conditions completely. We thought we might strike something in the woods which turned out to be a small alpine adventure as we got a bit out of track.

First kicker this year!

Yesterday we went randomly scouting for some powder, not really having a plan what will be doing or at least no one knew that we will be filming backcountry kicker. We found this nice bump where the landing hasn`t been affected by the snow yet and immediately started diggin`. Got few shots and it felt so good to be back in the mountains and doing stuff for the video again.

New snow

We were very fortunate to get some snow. On our home mountain they got 40cm of fresh! Conditions were chaning fast and it got heavier by the minute but for the early birds there was some sprayer laying around.

Spring sessions in middle of winter

It`s like end of season in Slovenia. Over 10°C and slushy snow but its kinda awesome to be riding in sweaters in mid January. The wiser part of the Untouched crew is busy competing around Europe. Pristo is in Spain for the World Championships, Bine is in Vars doing Linecatcher and Maček is also freeriding in France. The ones left at home went for Vogel and did some fun park riding and chilling in the sun.

 Domen was working hard last season. Wakeup calls in pitch dark, guarding landings against random freeriders, building kickers alone... Sometimes you just have to push it. Got the footy, got some funky music... Enjoy!

Vogel park opened it's doors

We visited our home mountain today and we had a blast. As there is no powder out of bounds the crew is forced to shred a small but fun park at Vogel. Sunny days, perfect shaped park and a good home vibe make everything worth waking up every morning and shredding till the last chair.

Christmas mud, cabbage, no sleep...and a little bit of a surfing

After Grilomentary premiere, which was by the way awesome, Untouched crew headed to Croatian coast. Slovenian surf nationals were on and Mitja and Pristo were competing. Bine and Maček just went for a casual surf. Actually we picked Bine straight up after the afterparty of Grilomentary and he was really sleepy, but cold Adriatic sea woke him up. It was the friendliest vibe in the water followed by some collective action on the coast due to heavy mud. Got some free cabbage tho.

The hunt for powder

Recently we have been waiting for a good snow and right conditions over here in Slovenia. Bine came back from France, Domen and Matevz hiked up some local spots to check them out and the other Matevz is still in Morocco surfing his ass off. Mitja is busy at work and charging batteries for his camera. Yesterday we got lost in Slovenian hills. Woke up half past five and wanted to do a shoot on Soriska Planina, but the weather was on our ways and we were forced to check some spots near Pokljuka. Even tho there was not much of a snow Matevz and Domen made some nice pow sprays and Bine went flat on some drops. It was a beautiful day in the untouched nature of Slovenian mountains.

Gotta do something

 We were blessed with loads of snowfall at the beggining of the season but due to heavy winds, pretty much everywhere is just ice and no fun to ride. But we couldn`t just sit on our asses so we did some hiking and searching for some new spots. We found some pow anyway...booyaka!
